Post Treatment

Every child acts differently after every dental visit. And while most visits do not require an immediate return visit, there are times when children should be returned to Dr. Bill’s office for a quick examination.

Excessive bleeding should be looked at. If your child has had a tooth removed or other serious dental work done, it’s important to notice the amount of blood they are producing post-treatment. Dr. Bill will be able to tell you just how much gauze you will normally go through in the days following you child’s visit.

Use a children’s pain reliever. It’s important to note that children should never be given aspirin. That stated, Dr. Bill will gladly share the names of effective over-the-counter pain relievers for children. Of course, if pain persists past an estimated date, or if the child is complaining of severe pain, it’s always a good idea to bring him or her back to Dr. Bill’s office.

Dr. Bill cares about your child. After your child’s treatment, Dr. Bill and his staff will tell you what to look for, what to notice, and when to bring your child back to the dentist. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Bill’s caring pediatric team, call 541-672-5535 today.
